Take Care in Choosing an Alcohol Treatment Agency for a Washington DUI Alcohol Evaluation

October 12, 2009 by Tim Milios

Diagnosing any medical condition takes practice, expertise and a clear understanding of the symptoms.  Most people who have been charged with DUI do not suffer from alcoholism.  Many are not heavy drinkers and some drink very infrequently.  One of the challenges people face after being charged with a DUI is securing an accurate alcohol evaluation that reflects their personal history and use, the facts of their arrest and an appropriate treatment plan.

The stakes are high at this evaluation.  On a personal level you will be entrusting private information and substance history to a stranger.  On a legal level the evaluation will determine the course of treatment that a court may require of you.  The providers to whom we refer are all experts in their field.  They will safe guard your confidentiality, fairly and adequately assess your treatment needs and will follow all of the requirements of the State of Washington.  We also only refer to agencies that have a trusted record of reliability.  You can be certain that they will maintain accurate records and provide them to us in a timely fashion to assist with your case plan.

As with any medical concern it is important when choosing your alcohol evaluator that you are seeing the best.  There are many state certified alcohol evaluators and treatment providers but they are not all the same.  Unfortunately, as in any business, some are substantially better than others.  We are confident that the providers to whom we refer are the best.  To that end, we have pre-screened all of the evaluators to who we refer and we have built professional respect into our working relationships.  We don’t refer each of our clients to the same agency as we attempt to tailor our recommendations to the needs of our clients.  When you receive a recommendation for any other provider from Milios Defense you can be confident that we make our recommendation with your best interest and health at heart.
